A 69-year-old man from Gilze was violently robbed and held captive for several hours on Saturday evening. The incident occurred after the man, who had arranged a meeting through a dating site, arrived at a location on Celebeslaan in Eindhoven, only to be ambushed by several men.
According to a report by Omroep Brabant, the attackers forced the victim back into his own car, a gray Range Rover Evoque, and drove around Eindhoven for several hours. After obtaining what they wanted, the assailants abandoned the man in his vehicle and fled the scene.
The police are investigating the incident and are asking witnesses, as well as anyone with relevant footage or who noticed anything suspicious involving the gray Range Rover, to come forward. Information can be provided anonymously.
